ARCH Terminal Midterm Studio • A Prototyping the Urban Green School • Winter 2008
Midterm terminal/thesis studio project for an Urban Green School in New York, NY, which explored connections between agriculture, education and architecture - specifically looking at how agricultural ideas can be brought into an urban environment and used to teach children. A design for the site was developed alongside the school design and proposed the creation of links between green spaces in the city (parks, urban farms, gardens) with "green ways" that moved through structures and streets. The school was designed to use this same principle on a building scale - using green, growing spaces throughout as an educational tool and as a reference for moving through the structure.
