HELLO!  I'm Kelsey!

About

Picture
At the core, I consider myself a designer and believe just about anything can become a design project.  I especially love problem solving, multi-tasking and productive distractions.  For as long as I can remember I grew up making art and working on various creative projects.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Oregon.  I worked for several years in architecture before deciding that I wanted to do more. Now, I split my time between illustrating, design and teaching at the U of O.

I find regular inspiration from animals, plants and minerals (the real and the fantastical), the great Pacific Northwest (and travels away from it), children's and comic books, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and mysteries.  I adore photoshop and procreate, and most of my finished work is digital, though I do lots of pencil sketches and studies and dabble in hand media. I like to incorporate handmade textures into my digital work when possible.
